Dietary Fibre
With the increase in heart disease and diabetes mellitus people have started to know the importance of dietary fibre. Dietary fibre is a photochemical which is got only from plant source. There are two types of dietary fibre soluble and insoluble. After many years of study it has been found that soluble fibre reduces the cholesterol level in the blood and thus reducing the risk of developing many diseases. Dietary fibre in particular has direct effect in reducing blood pressure or hypertension. One of the rich sources of soluble dietary fibre are found in oats .Incorporating oats in our meal has a lot of health benefits.
